Our little trip to Minnesota last weekend was fabulous. I introduced Jason to real golf, so we basically just played golf, played golf, played golf, went boating on Gull Lake, and played more golf. It was a ton of fun and the hospitality was great! :) I'm pretty sure I'll be able to talk Jason into going back sometime to visit (if he gets to take naps next time), but my attempts at talking him into moving there haven't been as fruitful. I'll have to keep working on him.
He has the pictures on his website, so there's no point in me putting them up too. Check them out here.

Jason and I are heading out to northern MN this weekend to visit uncle Dan, Lori, Jesse, and Tori. Oh, and to play a little golf :) It will be Jason's first time out there. I'll probably have to leave him there because he won't want to come back to Prairie West. He'll be fine, I'll just remember to give him a case of bug spray.
I'm looking forward to the trip, especially since I started hitting the ball straight again! YAY! Oh, and the Callaway guy was out at the course yesterday for a demo day. I was tossing around the idea of new irons before, but now I am officially sold on a set of Pro Series X-18s. See ya later Pro Combos. We had a lot of good times together, but it's time to move on.

Another campout come and gone. Needless to say I had a lot of fun this weekend. Here are a few of the highlights:
1. Seeing my cousin and her two very cute kids, whom I don't see nearly enough (yes, I know, if I would come visit, I wouldn't have that problem).
2. Having the pleasure of listening to a polka band while Jason made up his own lyrics, mostly consisting of Snoop and 50 Cent (he dropped it like it’s hot).
3. Getting my butt kicked in the water by about 6 of my little cousins, then being rescued by my knight in shining yellow swim trunks.
4. The Layton.
I am already lookin ...

I finally bought a bike the other day after thinking about getting one for years. And, of course it didn't take me long to christen it with a little road rash. After having it all of like 3 days I took a nice tumble over the handlebars yesterday. Oops. Didn't hurt too bad, though- just a few scrapes and bruises, poor baby. And I suffered a few too... :) After that little incident I decided that it might be a good idea to wait until my helmet comes in to ride again... a broken head isn't any fun.

I would highly recommend checking out today's drawing on toothpaste for dinner- it's pretty darn funny. Fantasy Cocktail League Season 1 made me giggle too. I'm still waiting for the drink that's half beer half orange pop. They can call it Camping at Nelson Lake.

Thirty years ago a youthful lass in all her feathered hair glory walked down the aisle to a strapping young fella wearing a baby blue tux. They recited their vows, and proceeded to enjoy the second happiest day of their lives (the first of course being a certain heaven-touched day in September of 1980). Fast forward a few years and four kids and now my mom's hair is much flatter and my dad is kinda balding and unfortunately no longer wears baby blue tuxes. But they are still living happily ever after in spite of the lack of snazzy 'dos and Willy Wonka-esque formal attire.... Happy Anniversary!!
P.S. Corral Sales Campout this weekend at Graner!

Just in case someone mentions something on some website about beating me at golf last night for the FIRST TIME EVER, I better clarify. It is entirely possible that a ball washer could have kicked my butt yesterday. Not that this certain "friend" of mine didn't hit the ball awfully well. And now, if I thought there were a chance of it ever happening again, I would say our friendship is over, since I am a horrible, horrible loser. But I think we'll be okay. For now anyway.
