 So occasionally I like to try to broaden my cultural horizons. Sometimes that entails activities like ordering a barbeque cheeseburger instead of a regular cheeseburger, or reading say the Fargo Forum online instead of the Mpls Star Tribune, or maybe switching from watching just regular tv to watching Gilmore Girls on DVD (this I only get to do, of course, when Jason is not home). So what is my newest project you ask? Well, instead of listening to 97.5- the r&b/pop/top-40ish radio station all day long at work, I have decided to tune in to KQDY- the country station. Yes, you read that correctly. I, who lived in the country music capital of the world and still wasn't compelled to listen to country music even a little bit, who if my friends had it on their car radio when I got in would immediately change the station, have now actually started to kind of like it. My opinion is that it is like listening short stories all day long, and I'm finding that aspect pretty entertaining. So, since I have outgrown story time with mom and dad I have found country music to be a fabulous substitute and I would highly recommend it to everyone. |
