My blog

Just a little disclaimer:  The size of any particular post does not in any way correlate with the level of enthusiam about the event. I am not more excited about Heidi & Spencer's engagement than I am about my sister's. Just thought I'd point that out.

p.s. Jackson, Jenny, and Sam will be home this weekend!

wedding registries By kristys on 5/23/2007 11:29 AM
My blog
So this whole registering for wedding gifts and having that information available online thing- I am convinced that it has to be some sort of test. The situation is just like back when you were a kid and you had to make some big decisions regarding your Christmas gifts- to snoop or not to snoop.... except now all you have to do to find out what you'll be getting is go to the store's website. They make it too easy! And I will let you know that if it is a test I am failing it with un-flying lack of colors. I have made a vow, though, that I will not look again until after my shower (which is only 3 days away). After that I will have a good excuse to look- we'll have to update the list. I don't have a lot of faith in myself though. And rightly so considering the fact that I picked up my sisters' bridesmaid dresses yesterday and had to try them on myself because I couldn't wait the 2 days to let them try them on first. I'm hoping that patience is an acquired trait and that mine will be coming soon.

Big congratulations to my sister Jenny and her Sam. They got engaged on Saturday!!!!

I think she'll have to carry Jackson with her right arm to balance out the weight.

new site By kristys on 5/8/2007 8:10 AM
My blog
yesterday I was asked again why I don't update my blog much. I guess one of the major reasons is that I'm busy. The problem with me being busy is that I'm not very good at prioritizing all of my tasks. For instance, I have approximately 432,000 things to do yet for the wedding and a ton of stuff to do for our side businesses, but pretty much all of last night was spent working on the design for my new personal website. First things first. And that stuff would go faster but I am kind of a Dreamweaver novice and every time I ask Jason (the former programmer) any questions about what I'm doing his stock answer is this: "google it". So helpful. But anyway, I have gotten it partially up and running. It just doesn't have any content on it yet.

Two of my favorite things... JT & golf... could it be true?

Pop star wants to make PGA
FOXSports.com
" He's got a six-stroke handicap now, but pop star Justin Timberlake is reportedly determined to qualify for and play in a PGA event by the time he's 30 years old."
read the rest of the story here
I'd like to see him play with those guys. Pretty sure he'd get his butt kicked, but as long as he busts out a little sexyback every now and again I'm sure they'd allow him to make cuts because of that alone. Speaking of which, I might have to start checking for job openings with the PGA. Justin case.

Announcement By kristys on 4/20/2007 8:50 AM

We are currently taking volunteers for people who are willing to not eat at our wedding. Any takers??  I finally got a guest list out of a couple people and am still waiting on a couple more, but currently we are at a number, I won't say exactly, but I will say that it is approximately two times the size of my graduating class in high school. And I graduated from Mandan High. I think we might have to take another look at the list.

I am such a grown-up By kristys on 4/17/2007 1:12 PM

My name is Jackson, my auntie Kristy is my favorite Yesterday was a pretty big day. My nephew Jackson asked me to be his godmother. Needless to say I was very excited.  I think, though, that this should entitle me to some kind of bonus responsibilities and benefits. For example, I think his godmother should be the one to decide where he and his parents should live. Another should be that he needs to be babysat by me at least once every few weeks so that I have adequate time to impart all the necessary knowledge that is my duty to bestow upon him. There are some things such as my phenomenal lego house building skills that it would just be a shame to not share.

Then last night, after Jackson asked me to be his godmother, Jason's brother and sister-in-law asked us to be his nephew Liam's godparents as well. Lucky him! :) I love the idea, so I'm very happy. The same rules should apply there. I think a regular babysitting schedule is mandatory. I don't have any photos of Liam yet, but I'm sure there will be plenty in the future.

Easter By kristys on 4/11/2007 4:36 PM

Easter has come and gone. If it weren't for the bosca it would almost start turning into just another Sunday. My brother & sister were back a couple of weeks ago so they weren't here for this particular holiday. What fun is that? I didn't even go to church. That is the first time in my whole entire life that I have ever missed church on Easter Sunday. Even when I went to school at Vanderbilt I went to a crazy Baptist church on Easter. It was a good run.

Oh, and to top it all off Tiger didn't even win the Masters. If he hadn't won me a scrumptious DQ blizzard I might have decided to pick someone else to win the next one. Okay, that's a lie. The Tiger bandwagon is way too cozy for that.
